Ryan Moran

Project Designer

Ryan joined Kimmel Studio as an architectural designer after graduating from the University of Maryland, where he earned his bachelor’s in Architecture. With prior experience in landscape architecture and the construction industry, Ryan’s favorite architectural projects involve the surrounding landscape. “I like buildings that are integrated with their site. When the architecture bleeds into the environment, and the landscape is considered during the design, the experience feels more unified and beautiful.”

Ryan’s favorite building is Frank Loyd Wright’s Kentucky Knob. “Wright’s way of creating grand vistas and using fine detailing makes his houses feel high-end even when they are small.”

When not designing at the studio, Ryan enjoys playing guitar and local gigs with his band in Annapolis, DC, and Baltimore.
