Cherokee Lake Cottages

Cherokee Lake Cottages is a collection of short-term rental cabins designed by Kimmel Studio Architects for a sloping waterfront site in Morristown, Tennessee. Part of a multiphase development, the project brings architecture, interior design, and landscape architecture together to create a cohesive lakeside retreat. Steep gabled roofs, wood siding, expansive windows, and private decks give the cottages a contemporary character while drawing on the familiarity of traditional cabins. Arranged across the hillside, the buildings respond to the terrain and orient living spaces toward views of Cherokee Lake.
