Deborah Bauer, LEED BD+C
The path to Maryland and Annapolis began for Deborah in St. Louis, Missouri, where the Mississippi River, the Gateway Arch by Eero Saarinen, and the city’s rich catalog of distinctive neighborhoods, made strong impressions. The journey continued with a degree in English literature, a BFA in painting and drawing, and extensive experience in portrait and journalistic photography. Through employment at St. Louis Design Alliance, as an administrator and later as designer, she encountered architecture as a design realm with a palette and scope as large as human endeavor.
Deborah received her Master of Architecture from the University of Maryland in 2008. She has been privileged to work on residential projects in St. Louis, Washington, DC and North Carolina, and to participate in the 2007 Solar Decathlon in which the University of Maryland took first place. Settings and structures that bring people together, fostering health and sustainability, and allowing people to experience the natural environment in fresh and stimulating ways are among her central interests.
Jeff grew up in the Washington area and spent his first twenty years after college in residential construction, developing a specialization in period architecture and historical restoration, and a passion for architectural millwork.
Adopting CAD drafting in the late 1980's, Jeff transitioned to the design end of the business in 1991. Since then, he has worked at or for a handful of the top residential architectural firms in the region. At Kimmel Studio, he brings an informed and experienced eye to the detail of our architectural work, part of
our commitment to realizing a cohesive marriage between the micro and the macro, and between the house and garden.
Anees is well-versed in technology; he also loves architecture and beautiful buildings. His job at Kimmel Studio consists in using technology to help visualize the architecture we design. This allows Anees to bring together his two passions: technology and architecture. He is experienced with the latest architectural visualization technologies, including autoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3DsMax and MS Project. Besides working at Kimmel Studio, Anees is a part-time student, working towards obtaining an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in Architecture at the Anne Arundel Community College.
